I woke up in Japan this morning with the sad news that the UK’s Queen Elizabeth II passed away lastnight.

 

She was a lovely person, and like the emperor, and the royal family of Japan, she served the public loyalty and with love for many years.

 

It is nice to see warm tributes by other countries. The Emprire State building in New York is illuminated purple, and her picture is on other famous buildings. 

 

Black taxis have lined up on the Mall (the road to Buckingham palace) and lots of people are paying respect outside the palace.

 

 

 

今朝、私は日本で悲しいニュースを聞くことになりました。

昨夜、イギリスのエリザベス女王がご逝去されました。

 

エリザベス女王は素敵な人で、天皇、そして日本の皇族のように

長年に渡り愛を持って公務をお努めになられました。

 

諸外国よりあたたかい敬意が示されています。

ニューヨークのエンパイアステートビルは紫に彩られ、

他の有名なビルには女王の写真が映されています。

 

バッキンガム宮殿に続く道には、黒いタクシーが列をなし、

多くの人々が宮殿の外で、敬意を表しています。
