May Festival

May is finally here! I hope you had a lovely Golden Week. The weather was very nice!
Did you know, in the U.K. We have a special holiday called May Day. On this day we celebrate the start of summer. Usually this is on May 1st.
In my village we have a festival. We crown a May Queen and dance around a Maypole. It's very fun, but very dizzying. We hold on to the ribbons and skip in circles around the pole. I was always very bad at it!
If you visit the U.K. in May, I recommend going to a May Day festival.

いよいよ5月です！素敵なゴールデンウィークを過ごしていますように。お天気もとてもよかったですね。
イギリスにはメーデーという祝日がありますがご存じですか。この日は、夏の始まりを祝う日です。通常は5月1日です。
私の村では、お祭りをします。メイ・クイーンを選出し、メイポールの周りでダンスをします。とても楽しいのですが、とても目が回ります。リボンにつかまって、ポールの周りをぐるぐると回ります。私はいつも下手でした！
もし、5月にイギリスを訪れるなら、メーデーフェスティバルに行くことをお勧めします。
