Corona restrictions are lifting.  Travel is becoming possible again.

According to the news in the UK and Europe, vacation reservations are now higher than before the pandemic.

 

 A place that I always recommend our English students to stay in is the Adelphi Hotel in my hometown, Liverpool.   

This hotel has a long history of about 200 years, and when you look at the classic design you can see the wealth that Liverpool had when it was a thriving port-city. Passengers of the Titanic apparently stayed here too.

 

 

As well as for tourists, The Adelphi is a popular venue for weddings and other sophisticated parties. During university my circle held black-tie events there, and it was always fun.

Staying there is like sleeping at a museum.  Or, you can visit simply for lunch or a drink.

 私がいつも私たちの生徒さんにお勧めする宿泊先は、私の故郷リバプールにあるアデルフィホテルです。 

このホテルは約200年の長い歴史があり、クラシックなデザインを見ると、港町として栄えていた頃のリバプールの豊かさを感じることができます。タイタニック号の乗客もここに宿泊したらしいです。

 

観光客だけでなく、アデルフィは結婚式や洗練されたパーティーの会場としても人気があります。大学時代、私のサークルはここでブラックタイのイベントを開催し、いつも楽しい時間を過ごしました。

美術館に寝泊まりしているような感覚です。 また、ランチやドリンクを楽しむこともできます。
